WHEN Matt O'Driscoll's brother Danny gets married, it won't just be the bride to be who'll be attracting attention.

Matt will arrive at the wedding ceremony in the bucket of a JCB digger.

He explains: "I thought it would be a good idea to have something different for the arrival at the church for me and the best men. I ran it past Cathy - the bride - who reluctantly agreed (so long as she didn't end up travelling in the bucket.

"The landlord of The Plough kindly said we could have the digger pick me up from outside. This opportunity came about while talking to my friend Rick Cummins who owns a digger. He explained to me he had a brand new digger and nobody he knew had ever gone to church in a digger . I jumped at the opportunity."

Danny, 35, and his bride to be Cathy Cox , 37, live on Derby Road in Ashton Village and the couple will 'tie the knot' at St Martin's Church, Ashton on Mersey, on October 4.

Matt said the JCB will have 'ribbons and all the trimmings' for his younger brother's special day.

He joked: "I am thrilled and delighted that Cathy has decided to take my brother off my hands. Seriously he is a great brother and a larger than life character so this type of entrance is ideal."

Danny works as a businessman and Cathy works for the NHS. While most of us will be wrapped up in our winter 'woolies' Danny and Cathy will be on honeymoon in exotic Thailand. They travel to the country in December.
