CASUALTIES were cut free of vehicles after two cars collided in a ‘serious’ road traffic collision in Sale last night, Thursday, December 18.
The vehicles, understood to be powerful Jaguar and Vauxhall models, collided at the junction of Dane Road and Waverley Road at 7.26pm.
Fire engines from Sale and Altrincham, as well as the technical rescue unit from Ashton-under-Lyne attended the scene.
Crews cut the roofs from both vehicles.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “It was a very serious crash. Two people had severe neck injuries.”
There were four casualties in total. All were taken by ambulance to Wythenshawe Hospital.
