POLICE are hunting for a sex attacker who grabbed a woman and dragged her into woodland, in Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old woman finally managed to fight her attacker off and run away.

The attack happened sometime between 11.50pm on April 28 and 12.10am on April 29.

The woman was walking along Eton Court when she was approached by a man who started talking to her.

She tried to walk away from him but he grabbed her and dragged her to a nearby woodland area, where he sexually assaulted her before she managed to get away.

Detective Inspector Joe Clarke said: "This young woman is understandably traumatised by what has happened to her and we are doing all we can to identify her attacker and arrest him for what he has done.

"This man is clearly a dangerous individual and I am only thankful that his victim managed to fight him off and escape before he could subject her to any further attack.

"If anyone saw or heard anything at around midnight on Tuesday going into Wednesday morning, or if you know who is responsible for this attack, then please get in touch and tell us what you know so we can take this man off our streets."

He is described as black, believed to be of African descent, with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark zip fronted jacket, dark jeans and black fingerless gloves.
