TRIPADVISOR has announced its annual Certificate Of Excellence awards - and a number of Altrincham eateries are celebrating making the list.

Now in its fifth year, the award celebrates hospitality excellence and is given to establishments – eateries, accommodations and attractions – which consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on the TripAdvisor travel site.

The listed Altrincham venues include Pitta Crepe who have been bringing 'street food' to the people of Altrincham for more than three years are one of the new additions. They are based in a mobile kitchen onStamford Street.

Owner Simon Badrock said: "Getting feedback from our customers is great, and the fact that some customers are then motivated to post a positive review of their experience is amazing. It's been a long road to convince people that street food can be as good, or sometimes even better than restaurant food, not only in terms of cost but also quality."
