MCGOFF and Byrne has been awarded a £300,000 contract to build a new kitchen at Flixton Infant School.

The project also includes additional services space and most of the work is expected to be completed during the summer holidays.

The Altrincham company takes the role of principal contractor and is responsible for the demolition of the existing kitchen followed by the build of a new and improved, bigger kitchen. They will also upgrade the boiler room.

As the latest contract win for the privately owned construction company, its significance highlights how the business continues to go from strength to strength, picking up new clients and expanding its portfolio.

Declan McGoff, operations director at McGoff & Byrne, said: “We are thrilled to have been appointed principal contractor at Flixton Infant School. Although our work is often national, even international, it is always good to secure projects in Greater Manchester, and this particular contract is a pleasure to be part of as it is so local to us.

“As a company we are renowned for our family values and commitment to working with clients above and beyond what is expected. We have plenty of expertise in the educational sector and are very much looking forward to this project taking shape, further enhancing the school’s facilities.”

Work has already commenced on site, which is estimated to take 14 weeks.

Located on Lyon Road, off Atlantic Street in Altrincham, McGoff & Byrne specialises in a number of sectors, including health and education, hotel and leisure, commercial and industrial, residential and community.
