BASIL Fawlty is the latest recruit to help boost Sale Rotary Club’s funding to local charities and causes.
For Basil, Sybil and Manuel are lending a chaotic hand to the club’s fundraising three course dinner at the Belmore Hotel, Brooklands Road on May 13.
The ‘Fawlty Towers’ characters - played by actors from ‘Dangerous Liaisons Events’ – will add cult comedy to the evening meal. And all profits will go the club’s benevolent fund for distribution to local causes that ask for Rotary help during the next year.
“Any local business that is prepared to add their sponsorship will also help to keep our costs down and boost our profits even more,” said Sale Rotary Club president Rob Chilton. “In return we’ll be happy to promote their business during the evening.”
