RIHANNA played to 25,000 fans at Emirates Old Trafford last night – but many more enjoyed – or should we say at least heard – the superstar for free last night.
Twitter erupted last night with residents complaining that the Bajan star’s music could be heard in their sitting rooms last night.
And it wasn’t just people living in the immediate vicinity of the grounds affected by the booming bass, with reports she her warbling could be heard on the other side of the city, as far as Failsworth.
@mickeytuggs90 tweeted: “@Rihanna your concert at Old Trafford is causing my house to vibrate, any chance you can turn the volume down a touch, cheers.”
Could anyone else hear @rihanna lastnight? I was all the way in Oldham and she was playing at Old Trafford 😂

@Holly_Robson was so aggrieved so urged Manchester City Council to take action to protect residents.
She tweeted: “Dear @ManCityCouncil next time @rihanna or whoever plays Old Trafford, PLEASE warn residents. My house is shaking from the noise MILES away!”

Some even found opportunity to jest England’s defeat in the Euros.
@JonnyMc1 tweeted: “Mad how loud Rihanna is, those who don't know the distance of Trafford to Droyslden, it's just a bit shorter than Bale's goal vs England.”

With Beyonce set to take to the same stage this Tuesday, it seems like Old Trafford and beyond may sit tight for another noisy night.
