THE Trafford Partnership will host a spectacular festival of family fun activities at Trafford Town Hall on October 1.

The Trafford LIVE festival aims to celebrates everything that’s great about Trafford.

It will showcase the borough's green spaces, sports, history and culture.

The event will also recognise the invaluable contribution voluntary and community groups make to Trafford.

The free event is open for all to attend, and throughout the day guests can experience a host of events, activities and displays provided by some of Trafford’s best loved institutions, with food and drink available to purchase throughout the day.

Manchester United Foundation, Lancashire Cricket Foundation and Trafford Leisure Trust will be running a range of family sport activities to get the whole family moving. Health and wellbeing advice, including blood pressure checks, will be available on the day to make sure you are fighting fit.

A range of experts will be on hand to help people learn about the benefits and importance of nature and conservation.

The National Trust will be running sessions about the benefits and importance of nature and conservation through its Green Academies Project, with Sea Life taking you on an exciting journey to explore the fascinating marine life thriving in our country’s many rock pools.

Other stalls include Royal Society for Protection of Birds, City of Trees and Trafford Allotments.

Organised by Gorse Hill Studios, music and art tents will offer exciting chances for budding performers to release their creativity. Performances from local dance and music groups will also be on offer to entertain you.

Craft activities and story time can be enjoyed, along with LEGOLAND providing giant bins of bricks for children to play with and keep them entertained.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the Town Hall.

It will run from 11am-4pm and with free parking available at Lancashire County Cricket Club stadium.
