Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler has said he is planning to go on a stadium tour of Old Trafford and added that he and his girlfriend "will stick together".

The 16-year-old, who is a Manchester United fan, lost the World Championship final to Luke Humphries yesterday (January 3) following his magical run to the final.

Now, Littler, from nearby Warrington, says he is looking forward to visiting the Theatre of Dreams with his girlfriend, 21-year-old Eloise Milburn.

Speaking about his upcoming trip to Old Trafford, he said: "My girlfriend got me a stadium tour at Old Trafford for two people, so I'll be doing that whenever I can.

"In a few months, it expires in December. I'll go whenever I need to."

The Daily Mail reported yesterday 3 that the Red Devils have invited Littler to attend their Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday, January 14.

The boyhood United fan revealed before his final, which he lost by seven sets to four, that he had received good luck messages from United players both past and present.

Littler told the BBC: "I've got a lot of [social media] followers now.

"I've had a message off Luke Shaw, from Manchester United, from Rio Ferdinand, and I had a message off Gary Neville and Jonny Evans before my game against Barney [Raymond van Barnveld]."

Today, Littler brushed aside comments about the five-year age gap between himself and Ms Milburn.

He said: "We're gonna stick together now.

"Obviously we have been doing for the last few months.

"We're just gonna stick together whether anyone likes it or not. We're not bothered."

Following Littler's historic run to World Championship final, he has been announced as the youngest player in Premier League history, despite the fact he has not won a major title.
