TRAFFORD MV Rugby Club picked up their first clean sweep of the season as all three senior teams won their fixtures.

North Manchester 10 Trafford MV 1st XV 24

MV's 1st XV were keen to get into winning ways after last weekends one point defeat in their opening league fixture. A couple of changes were made to the starting XV to spice up the side however the performance on the day was somewhat lacklustre. North Manchester put up a dogged performance and MV never really got a dominant style of play going.

Tries from Gaz Bevan and Johnny Lord for MV together with a conversion and four penaties from Ben Wheeler gave MV the edge in this game but much more will be needed going forward if MV are to put together a strong title challenge. Players will need to step up to the mark and perform with over 30 players training regularly and the 2nd XV putting in an impressive winning performance.

Trafford MV's 2nd XV powered home against Oldham 2nd XV with a stunning 97-7 home win

MV's 1st XV will face Oldham 1st XV at MacPherson Park on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
