TRAFFORD boss Tom Baker believes his side can have a successful season despite their lowly position.
The Shawe View team picked up a point from a potential six earlier this week after drawing 2-2 with Kendal Town on Tuesday night and suffering a 2-0 loss to promotion contenders Spennymoor last Saturday.
Despite lying in 15th spot in the Evo-Stik First Division North, Baker thinks his side will rise up the table.
He said: "This is a tough league but I am still very confident.
"It is early days and there are a lot of teams in the league such as Kendal and Spennymoor who have been building their sides for years but we had had only two players from last season.
"We are continuing to look to strengthen in certain areas.
"We have been a bit inconsistent so far this season and we will be looking to improve that."
Baker believes they could even have had three points to show for their efforts against Kendal.
He said: "We made two mistakes for the goals we conceded.
"Then we played really well and that was proved with the first goal.
"We scored another and I thought we were unlucky not to score the winner."
