Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has rejected the BMA's offer to call off the strike, if he lifts the threat to impose the contract on junior doctors
With regards to the current dispute in the NHS, it is the Government's responsibility to ensure that negotiations take place which will resolve the differences between the parties concerned and enable the junior doctors and others to undertake their work on terms which best serve the health and well-being of patients.
I trust that our MP Graham Brady is doing all he can to persuade his colleagues that negotiation and not confrontation is the only way forward.
